The Detroit Tigers have signed outfielder Tyler Gentry to a minor-league contract, assigning him to their Triple-A affiliate in Toledo, as the team bolsters its outfield depth after they recalled outfielder Wenceel Pérez to replace the injured center fielder Parker Meadows. Gentry was previously with the Kansas City Royals, making his MLB debut with them in 2024 with limited results, and spent the 2025 season in Triple-A Omaha hitting .206 with nine home runs. The Tigers signed Gentry on Saturday, April 11, 2026.
