Jack Flaherty endured another rough outing Friday, going 3.2 innings with four runs allowed, three walks and five hits—continuing control issues that have plagued him for much of 2026. The right-hander has now walked multiple batters in all seven of his opening 2026 starts, with his last three starts featuring six of those with three or more free passes, during which he's thrown nine combined innings, walked 11, struck out 11 and given up 12 runs. Keider Montero will take the mound for Detroit on Saturday against Rangers' Kumar Rocker. Rocker, once a heralded prospect, has ended up as a middle-rotation arm for the Rangers and is off to a solid start in 2026.
