Tigers Rest After Extra-Inning Win, Set Sights on Guardians Series
Hao-Yu Lee singled home the winning run in the top of the 10th inning, and the Tigers defeated the Giants 3-1 yesterday. Troy Melton turned in another ace-like performance, allowing four hits and one unearned run over six innings. Kenley Jansen got the win after striking out the side in the bottom of the ninth, and Tyler Holton earned the save by striking out the side in the bottom of the 10th. The day off gives Detroit time to prepare for a crucial matchup with Cleveland.
