Tigers Season Ends on Emotional Verlander Farewell
The Tigers dropped their final game of the season to the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-2, but the result was largely an afterthought as the organization gave Justin Verlander one final opportunity to take the mound in a Tigers uniform, allowing the future Hall of Famer to make what could be his final start in Major League Baseball. Verlander departed the mound to an emotional ovation as his daughter ran out to meet him.
