The Tigers return home to host the Minnesota Twins for a three-game weekday series with Troy Melton taking the mound in the opener. The 25-year-old has been struggling of late after a tremendous three-month stretch, posting a 4.84 ERA and 5.02 FIP over his last four starts. Melton has faced Minnesota twice this summer, including his most recent outing, registering a bloated 7.84 ERA and 10.05 FIP over 10.1 innings. Riley Greene (.275, 18 HR, 62 RBI) is back healthy and provides a genuine offensive threat, while Gleyber Torres (.270, 8 HR, 36 RBI) has been one of the more consistent bats in the lineup.
